Chronicles of Kelly Smith.....

Back in June I was fortunate enough to work on a collaboration with one of the most talented fashion illustrators of the moment, the gorgeous Kelly Smith of birdy and me. Kelly’s blog has created a cult following worldwide for her mind-blowing inspirational illustrations featuring some of fashions biggest names. Kelly’s work has been featured in countless publications including Vogue, Cleo and Shop Till You Drop and recently she has collaborated with Portman's and ROC eyewear for their spring summer 2011 campaigns. Here Kelly takes five to talk all things fashion and fill us in on what exciting plans she has in store next...

finally after weeks of waiting my red isabel marant sued babies have arrived. I can't wait to whip them out over the long weekend. x

its nice to see the various tones of dusty pinks and nudes that have been surfacing on the fashion front in recent weeks. I'm loving erin wasson in her scanlan & theodore lazar cut dress -  I'm bought mine before they sold out!

Jess Hart walking for sass & bide 

Sarah Jane Clark and Heidi Middleton, showcased their ss11 collection - "Papa Sucre", in London early last week. The collection drew on a more organic form compared to previous collections where embellishment has been heavily featured. It was great to see the girls opted for a more neutral color palette that included hues of watermelon, nude, grey and rose-gold and it was nice to see a much more feminine and refined take on their usual heavy draping. I will defiantly be buying up big once this collection hits stores. x

BEHIND THE SCENES WITH VOGUE

Working with the amazing former GQ fashion director, Melissa Boyle, on the Vogue Australia runway shows for Chatswood Chase and Chadstone shopping centre this week has been an amazing experience. 

Styling, model fittings, running from one designer boutique to the next, collating clothes for 19 models that walked in 140 + looks for our two shows. Having said all this - it’s all in a days work for our styling team.
